Good intentions are not always the best.

These dainty sugar cube tongs have yet to see service during high tea. Instead, I put them to work on fresh strawberries, especially during my spring jam-making sessions when flat after flat of strawberries need to be trimmed.

Quickly and neatly, they remove the leafy calyx without losing any of the sweet fruit.
